About Laura
I spent 16+ years at Google working in go-to-market and people leadership roles across EMEA.
My work sat in high-performance environments — where expectations were high, change was constant, and people were expected to figure things out quickly.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in the pattern I kept seeing:
There were largely two categories of seemingly, indentical groups: individuals that moved forward with confidence.
The other, equally capable individuals, got stuck — second-guessing, overthinking, or losing momentum at key moments.
That gap had very little to do with capability or experience.
And eventually I realised that it had everything to do with how people were working with themselves.
What I Do Now
Now I’m building Academy One — a space focused on practical tools, frameworks and coaching to help people better understand and work with themselves.
Not in a theoretical way.
But in ways that actually hold up:
in interviews
in high-pressure environments
in moments of change or uncertainty
in day-to-day decisions and habits
How I Work
My approach combines:
real-world leadership experience
coaching training (NeuroLeadership Institute)
structured, psychology-informed frameworks
Everything is designed to be:
practical
clear
usable in real life
Right Now
I’m currently developing and testing:
Interview EDGE (workshop + workbook)
practical tools and reflection frameworks
small group and 1:1 sessions
